Finding People on the Net
Do you ever wonder
what happened to your first crush? Would you like to
look up an old Army buddy, but you're not sure where to
begin? Here’s a list of sites that will help you
reconnect with old friends.
www.classmates.com --
Find your elementary,
high school, and college friends from the
US and Canada. Over 32
million people representing 120,000 schools are in the
database.
www.military.com
has over 10 million records to help you find old
buddies. Registration is needed, but it’s a free service.
www.who-me.com
is a reverse people finder site. Register for free and
find out who's been looking for you.
www.lost-love-registry.com
is dedicated solely to those looking for lost loves.
Maybe you'll find the girl or boy who gave you your
first kiss!
www.familysearch.org
-- Search for your ancestors and create a family tree
using one of the largest genealogical databases in the
world. Get guidance on how to create a family tree, view
maps, forms and guides, and download free software.
www.family-reunion.com
-- This site is a great resource for planning family
reunions. You'll find everything you need to create the
ultimate family reunion.
www.classmates.com
-- has recorded numbers that are really huge.
Classmates attracts 13% of all Internet traffic. What's
the big appeal? To find out, I signed up for a free
membership and checked my high school class. I found a
listing of about 50-percent of the people who graduated
(way back in ’67!)
Classmates also
allows you to sign up for a former job. It works the
same way. You enter the period in which you worked at
the company, and it tells you who else is registered.
Good
luck finding that special someone! NEXT:
