Let’s Eat! Recipes on the Web
What to cook? That is the question. The Web can answer
this question for your. Be careful though, you could
spend so much time looking up recipes that you end up
getting a pizza delivered. Let’s check out some sources
for recipes.
www.epicurious.com
is one of my favorites. It’s got everything. You
can browse over 14,000 recipes, search a database of
tips from great cooks, or shop for kitchenware.
www.recipesource.com allows you to browse
recipes by region and type. Their searchable database
has more than 70,000 recipes.
www.recipeland.com
has a nifty feature -- you can find recipes by
searching for the ingredients that you have on hand.
www.topsecretrecipes.com contains scores of
original clone recipes. From Applebee’s Baked French
Onion Soup to Waffle House Waffles, you’ll find it here.
Also, check out
www.copykat.com for more recipes from Boston
Market, Olive Garden, Bennigan’s and more.
www.allrecipes.com
contains the standard set of recipe collections. It
also has special sections for weight management,
diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and
general wellness.
www.bettycrocker.com – Aside from the standard
set of recipes and cooking tips, Betty offers us lots of
contests, promotional coupons and sweepstakes.
www.vegetarianrecipe.com is your home for great
vegetarian recipes, meal ideas and cooking advice.
Another source is www.vegweb.com.
www.foodtv.com
is produced by the folks who bring you the Food Network
cable TV channel. It’s a site well worth visiting.
www.breadrecipe.com
– Yum! Cinnamon breads, fruit breads and more.
www.food-insects.com is “dedicated to the
current importance and future potential of insects as a
global food source.”
Did
that last one cause you to lose you appetite? I hope
not :)
