Travel Lodging Bargains
You’ve probably heard of the leading Websites for
vacation lodging:
www.Hotels.com and the hotel finding services
from sites like
Orbits.com,
Expedia.com,
Travelocity.com,
Priceline.com,
and Hotwire.com.
Here are a host of other sites you should investigate
for their more specialized assistance.
Travelaxe.com
- A service that claims to compare discounted hotel
rates found on over a dozen travel sites. It allows
one-stop shopping to save you the trouble of scanning
multiple Websites to find the best priced room for your
next trip.
Travelworm.com
- If you’re heading to Vegas, Laughlin, or San Diego,
check this site for current specials on room rates.
GlobalFreeloaders.com - A free-of-charge
database of more than 6,000 people in 100 countries who
are willing to put you up in their homes for free. To
enjoy this hospitality, you will have to be willing to
offer it too.
Caribbean-on-line.com - Has thousands of resort
reviews written by recent visitors.
UnusualVillaRentals.com - A 3,300 page site
offering thousands of villa rentals worldwide. Some
rent for as little as $600 per week.
Ihen.com - One of
several sites for vacation exchanges around the world
(you stay in someone else’s home while they stay in
yours; no one pays a penny for lodgings). There is a
$39.95 registration fee. Other sites with such services
are 4homex.com,
Homelink.org,
and
Invented-City.com.
LastMinuteTravel.com - A seller of unsold hotel
rooms and air-land packages, at big discounts. Another
site is
LastMinuteHotelDiscounts.com.
AsiaTravel.com
- Up to 75% off at some 5,000 hotels in Thailand,
Singapore, Hong Kong, and other destinations.
Gorp.com - The
best location for adventure travel. You’ll find
mountain climbing, safaris, white water rafting and the
like.
Hostels.com –
The largest directory on the Internet of both private
hostels and those belonging to the Youth Hostel
Federation.
Be it a villa in St. Tropez or a hostel in Cleveland,
these sites should help you find a place to stay.
