
FTP Settings
The below settings apply to customers that host
their domain name with CommSPEED. Please be sure to
modify all settings on your FTP client to ensure your
site is installed in the correct location. These
settings have changed so please take some time to
familiarize yourself with them.

Remote Directory: |
/web |
Make sure that
you specify the remote directory correctly. If you do
this incorrectly your page or changes to your page will
not be visible to the public. If your FTP client does
not have a remote directory setting, then navigate to
the directory indicated in the picture below within your
site. When you log in you are placed in the directory
circled in red, navigate to the /web directory
circled in green.

The above picture is an
example. Your home directory is named in reference to
your username. In the example above, the username is
commspeednet.
FrontPage Settings
If
you are using FrontPage 2000 or newer to build or modify
your site, you will need to request for FrontPage
extensions to be enabled for your website. To open your
page, click on FILE/OPEN WEB.
When you are prompted
for a username and password enter webmaster for
the username and the password you requested when signing
up. You will then open your site live on the server and
any modifications you make and save will be seen by your
visitors immediately. If you have questions with using

Control Panel
Log into your control panel by adding
/login to your website address.
Example:
http://www.yourdomain.com/login
Here you can:
View enabled services
View web site statistics
Change your password
View your quota
